Cirque Du Mardi Gras

Although there have been no elephant sightings,moving trailers or big tops noticed in the downtown area, the circus is definitely in town. Venardos Cirque Du Mardi Gras’ opening night was a spectacle from beginning to end.
The show is filled with musical performances showcasing powerhouse vocals and beautifully designed costumes. With comedic punchlines and an eclectic cast, Cirque Du Mardi Gras has something everyone in the family can enjoy.
The show is themed around Mardi Gras and catered specifically for the city of Mobile. With burlesque costumes, Mardi Gras beads and brass band sounds, the show sparks the love of carnival season.
Located in Space 301 on Conti Street, Venardos Cirque Du Mardi Gras runs through February 14th and tickets are available online. Because of its unique location and intimate setting, this circus is unlike any other.
Despite being inside the Alabama Contemporary Art Center, Venardos has turned this delicate space into an action filled showcase. With mouths of fire, body contortionist and a flying Joe Cain, Cirque Du Mardi Gras is a quite a sight to see.
